Professional Career:

Dr. Taussig specializes and has years of experience in complex litigation with an emphasis on class action litigation. Dr. Taussig has been successfully representing leading corporations in class actions in the areas of pharmaceutics, banking, securities, insurance, consumer protection, mass tort and more.

Dr. Taussig lectures in the class actions course at Haifa University’s faculty of law and at the Hebrew University faculty of law. He has published articles about class action proceedings in American legal periodicals.

Dr. Taussig was invited to present a seminar on Class Actions in the United-States and Israel at the National University, Taiwan.

Dr. Taussig lectures on civil procedure at the Hebrew University and the Academic Center of Law and Business.

During his doctoral studies Dr. Taussig served as Chief Articles Editor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Journal of International Law.

He lectured for 4 years on the laws of contracts at the School of Economics & Management at the Open University.

He was an assistant lecturer for many years in the Civil Procedure course at Tel Aviv University, Bar Ilan University and the Academic Center of Law & Business.  Dr. Taussig also was a research assistant for the late Prof. Stephen Goldstein.

Dr. Taussig was a member of the Class Action Proceedings Committee (the Israeli Bar Association) between 2003 and 2006, and a member of the Legislative Civil Procedure and Evidence Committee between 2000 and 2006. He currently serves as vice chairman of the Class Actions Committee.

Dr. Taussig is frequently invited to give guest lectures about class actions. Among others, he took part in Israeli Bar Association conferences and lectured on class action settlements at the Supreme Court OZMAT Institute. He recently gave a lecture on Innovations in class actions to judges in the Tel-Aviv district and magistrate court.
